Body Abstraction is a body of work that revolves around organic shapes, lines, and elements found within the human form. The purpose of this work is to make the viewer question the reality and definitive parts of what it could be. To take a model, and create up close pieces in such an abstract form creates many questions. Regardless of the reaction from looking at these pieces, being positive or negative, it still generates questions from the viewer and will keep them thinking about it. This work means a lot to me because of exploring different aspects of the human body itself, by looking at different types and exploring the beauty in each one. The use of the dramatic lighting and printed on a matte black and white paper really brings the full effect to this body of work. Overall this work is my most successful work, and I could not be prouder to share it.
