5- Helen Wilson | Migration Diaries- In the First Light | $700
Mixed medium, acrylics, aluminum leaf

Statement: This piece is a part of a series, The Migration Diaries. In this series I use momo-printing, special cutting and folding techniques, asemic writing and aluminum leaf to create a piece which honors the travels of the annual migrators. Living on the edge of the woods, I have been witness to migrating birds and butterflies and I always find it a deeply spiritual experience. And so many of us have also been witness to human migration in all its forms. The power and tug of life that occurs year in and year out- a mysterious force that moves the world.

6- Helen Wilson | Migration Diaries-Autumn Revelry | $700
Mixed media, acrylics, aluminum leaf

Statement: During the Pandemic I took time to study new folding and cutting techniques and new approaches to using metal leaf on my papers. This piece, is a part of a series honoring the migrations that occur all around us. Living on the edge of the woods, I have been witness to migrating birds and butterflies and I always find it a deeply spiritual experience. And so many of us have also been witness to human migration in all its forms. The power and tug of life that occurs year in and year out- a mysterious force that moves the world.

7- Judith Gaiser | The Medallion Tattoo | $500

8- Carol Tomasik | Class: Insecta | $650
Polymer clay, wire, paper, found objects

Statement: Clay, rusty wire, paper and found objects all come together in this slender wall sculpture titled “Class: Insecta.” This mixed-media piece celebrates one of my favorite subjects, the insect world. A very strange bug/lady is caught flexing her powers over a host of little insects that cling to her robe. And exactly what is she holding in her hand?

9- Carol Tomasik | Ghost Town | $475
Encaustic, wood, found objects

Statement: Two old panels of wood, in the shape of Gothic windows, formed the bases for this diptych. Layers of encaustic wax create a dreamy mindscape of a world, and people who lived in it, now long forgotten.

10- Tina Grondin | Pages from the Woods | $450
Wood cut print, watercolor, mixed media collage

Statement: This work is a collage created from wood-cut, mono-print and watercolor. I love being in the woods and looking at the diversity of life, simple but complex, fragile but enduring. The natural patterns, forms and linear space have inspired my work.

11- John Smolko | My Left Hand Knows What My Right Hand Is Doing | $400
Colored pencil on Crescent RagMat

Statement: This is a Hand Study I created for The International Artist magazine. I took digital images of the work of art in six stages of development. It was a fun experience and I always made it a practice for all my high school students to master the drawing of hands. If you can draw a hand, you can draw anything.

Clay, wire, paper, found objects

Statement: An other-worldly being, inspired by a poem; “My Spectral Guest” definitely has a huge presence. Her body has been formed from a piece of rusty fencing, then covered with paper. An old lantern piece serves as a neck, and when a small (battery powered) candle is placed behind her head, she’s illuminated with an eerie glow.

28- Carol Klingel | Stepping Out/Stepping In | $650
Stepping Out/Stepping In

29- Tina Grondin | The Flats | $900
Oil, mixed media on canvas

Statement: A night in the Flats dancing to the music of my favorite band. We walked along the bank, the sky glowed and buildings and bridges stood in stark contrast against it. The view was stunning. I used textured materials to create the patterns of objects taking their place to be swallowed up by the setting sun. Graphite was added to produce a surface of industrial grit. Nature and industry seamed to collide and fight for space. But tonight they were swooped together and swayed with the music in perfect harmony.

30- John Smolko | Carlyn | $3,000
Colored pencil on Crescent RagMat
