Disorganized Attachment | Debra DeGregorio

Disorganized Attachment | Debra DeGregorio

Horizon Gallery

Mixed media drawings on paper by Debra DeGregorio reference disorganized attachment, a term used in psychology to describe a relationship style that both yearns for closeness and builds walls to protect. This creates a chaotic intimacy that is simultaneously building and disintegrating. Likewise, the elements rendered and collaged within the spacious worlds of these artworks come together and connect while also falling apart.
