We Need Your Help

Thanks to support from our generous community and donors, we are thrilled to share that we have met our initial fundraising goal of $15,000! To maximize our support of local artists right now, especially our resident artists who have been impacted by our building renovations, we have extended our goal to $20,000.

Although our building has been closed to the public for our transformative renovations project since August, we have stayed true to our mission and have continued resourcing local artists and connecting them to the community. During this time, we still served over 250 artists and connected them to 1,200+ community members through the following programs and services:

• Hosting 3 offsite exhibitions in private offices and Summit County Probate Court

• Hosting 1 artist professional development event, Mix & Meet, to share resources

• Hosting 2 offsite artist meet-up events for community building

• Hosting 2 artist-centered community events, ArtWalk and Artists Sunday

• Facilitating educational programs at partner schools for students

• Ensuring fiscal sponsee artists have access to funding for their projects

• Ensuring resident artists have access to workspace, community, opportunities, and resources

YOUR generosity will help this work continue! Giving a gift at any level will support our core work during this renovation period—keeping artist-centered programs running, providing rent relief for artists whose studios are affected, and ensuring we reopen with a strong, supported creative community ready to welcome visitors back.

Thank you to Summit County for funding the Summit Artspace renovations project with additional support from Akron Community Foundation and GAR Foundation.
