Work in The BOX Gallery Conceit of Memory Exhibition

Through August 18, The BOX Gallery in downtown Akron is proud to present the Conceit of Memory Exhibition, featuring work by Zachariah Szabo and Brittany Campbell.

Free and open to the public. The BOX Gallery is operated by the Artists of Rubber City.

Through photography and sculpture, the group Conceit of Memory Exhibition explores social context. Work from Szabo examines personal identity, loss, reference, and subculture. Campbell relies on found objects in her work and explores their relation to societal values. Both Szabo and Campbell received their MFAs from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan in 2013.

The BOX Gallery is open to the public during exhibitions on Fridays and Saturdays from 12-5 PM. Additionally, The BOX Gallery is open for Third Thursday on Thursday, August 16, 4-7PM.
