From July 13 through August 18, The BOX Gallery in downtown Akron is proud to present “Conceit of Memory”, an exhibition featuring work by Zachariah Szabo and Brittany Campbell. Meet the artists at the opening reception on Friday, July 13, 5-8 PM.

Through photography and sculpture, the group exhibition explores social context. Work from Szabo examines personal identity, loss, reference, and subculture. Campbell relies on found objects in her work and explores their relation to societal values. Both Szabo and Campbell received their MFAs from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan in 2013.

The BOX Gallery is open to the public during exhibitions on Fridays and Saturdays from 12-5 PM. Additionally, The BOX Gallery is open for Third Thursday on Thursday, July 19, 4-7PM and Thursday, August 16, 4-7PM and for Saturday Artwalk on Saturday, August 4, 2018 5-9PM. Admission is to the BOX is FREE and open to the public.
